Last night, Daniele di Bonaventura playing the bandoneon and Alfredo Laviano playing the drums performed the concert “Il Canto delle Rotte: incontro tra bandoneon e percussioni” (The Song of the Rottes: A Meeting between Bandoneon and Percussion) at Cinema Roma in Asmara.
The two artists performed several improvised pieces inspired by their own compositions, folk songs, Neapolitan music, and the tradition of Argentine tango.
The concert was attended by a large audience, including Eritrean Authorities, members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Eritrea, and students from the Asmara School of Music.
During their stay in Asmara, Mr. di Bonaventura and Mr. Laviano held a Piano and Drums Masterclass at the Asmara School of Music.
